Bob Schuster Wins Largest Personal Injury Settlement in North Dakota History
After three years of litigation, Bob Schuster settled the case of a Bakken oil field worker injury in North Dakota for $20,000,000, as reported in pleadings filed in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. In October, 2011, a tanker truck driver suffered severe burns over more than 30% of his body when a water tank at a gas processing plant exploded into a massive fireball. The burns left the driver permanently disfigured and totally disabled from future employment.
Largest Wrongful Death Settlements in Wyoming

$5 Million Sanction Against Figaro Engineering
After a failed carbon monoxide sensor manufactured by Figaro Engineering Company caused a brain injury to a 10-year-old boy, an order was entered for the company to turn over their documents. However, after it came to light that 167 boxes of documents were destroyed, the Honorable Kathy M. Flanagan called for monetary sanctions of more than $5 million in 2012. Landmark Settlement for Truck Accident in Kentucky
Bob Schuster represented the families of this devastating trucking accident in Paducah, Kentucky, which left an injured mother without her daughter. In 2009, the case was settled confidentially before trial, in what is believed to be the largest settlement in a truck accident case in that region of Kentucky.
Oil and Gas Drilling Halted in Wyoming Wilderness

Largest Personal Injury Settlement in New Mexico
An interstate natural gas pipeline owned by El Paso Natural Gas Company exploded in 2000 and killed 12 family members who were spending the weekend by the Pecos River camping and fishing. Together with the Blenden Law Firm of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Bob Schuster represented the families of five of the victims killed in the explosion. The amount of the settlement was in excess of $100 Million – the largest personal injury settlement in the history of New Mexico and one of the largest ever achieved in the nation.
